People often ask, "Why is tracking my money so important?"
When you make time to effectively track your money, you'll gain a tremendous amount of power and confidence. You'll know exactly where your money is coming from and exactly where it's going.
When you know these two things, you'll find:
You may think you know how much you have and how much you spend, it's all in your head, right? Well, I'm willing to bet that you don't really know, you're only "guesstimating."
Tracking your money effectively means:
For example, do you know what the total of your fixed expenditures are each month? Do you know when the insurance premiums are due for your car, your house and your long term care? Which areas in your budget have extra money this month? How much were the variable expenses in November of last year?
The bottom line is you probably have an idea about what's going on with your money, but you don't know the real numbers. In order to truly have the facts, you have to build your budget and get the real numbers in there each and every month.
Without a plan, you'll have no clear picture of where you're going, much less know the steps to get there. Without the facts (i.e., the hard numbers) you'll be wandering down the lovely path to... who knows where?
So, let's get down to business and build your customized roadmap to make sure you're on a path that will get you to your goals.
Budget Bootcamp is a four session webinar series that will walk you through the various phases of building your budget. At the end of the class, if you've done the homework, you will have a working budget, and you'll know how to use it.
